About Me

Hi there! I’m Lucy Weissmuller, a 32-year-old freelancing content writer who swapped the corporate life for something far more exciting — toddler wrangling. Yes, I left my high-flying job as an SEO content manager at a big London agency to focus on raising my daughter Susan. She’s two now, and if I’m being honest, she runs the show. My days are spent balancing between crafting content and negotiating snack times, and yes, I do occasionally miss the office coffee machine… but not the meetings!

Despite having a two-foot-tall dictator in my life, I’m still a bit of a geek when it comes to all things content writing, website optimisation, and Google trends. I’ve been in the content game for nearly a decade, and I still get a thrill when I see something I’ve written jump up the Google rankings. Call me a nerd, but I just love knowing how to make the search engines happy (someone’s got to).

Before becoming a mum, I was very much the career woman, working with some of London’s top brands and agencies. My job was fast-paced, deadline-driven, and sometimes a bit like herding cats, but I thrived on it. Then Susan came along and put things into perspective. These days, instead of chasing after clients, I’m chasing after a little one who thinks running away with a biscuit in hand is the greatest game ever invented.

But I haven’t completely left the world of content behind. In fact, I’m still very much in the thick of it — just from the comfort of my own home (often with Peppa Pig in the background). I still keep up with all the latest in SEO, content strategy, and the weird and wonderful world of AI. I’m obsessed with how technology is reshaping content creation, and I absolutely love experimenting with new ways to get brands seen online.

This blog is my way of sharing my knowledge, experiences, and a few giggles along the way. Whether you’re a fellow freelancer, a parent trying to keep a foot in the professional world, or just someone who enjoys reading about SEO and content with a side of humour, you’ll feel right at home here.

When I’m not chasing after Susan or obsessing over Google’s latest algorithm update, you’ll probably find me drinking a very large cup of tea and dreaming about a full night’s sleep (one day… maybe). I don’t take myself too seriously, and neither should you! Life’s too short for that.

So, grab a cuppa and have a look around. I hope my ramblings give you a chuckle or two and maybe even a nugget of knowledge to take away. Cheers!
